The Proposal

David and I met in September of 2017 via Facebook. 6 months later he proposed to me at South Pointe Pier, Miami in front our family and friends. He tried to trick me by saying we were going to his cousin's baby shower but I low key knew he was going to propose.

Knowing When They're The One

Jessica: I knew David was the one because I received confirmation from God and when he asked my mother’s permission before he took me out on our first date. It was an instant connection between the two of us.

David: I knew she was the one based on how we got connected on our first date, it felt like we have known each other for awhile, and she has the the qualities I was looking for in a woman. Before we met each other, I was praying for a woman like her so that was also a confirmation from God.

What was the biggest challenge you faced in planning your wedding? One of the biggest challenges was the guest list and seating chart, I was losing my mind trying to figure it out.

Wedding Planning

We loved the overall feeling of planning our wedding, it helped us mature as a couple to plan something so complex, gave us an idea of how each other manages money and such but for me (Jessica) my favorite part was definitely my wedding dress.

Real Tears

Jessica: The best memory from my wedding was seeing my husband stand at the end of the isle crying

David: My best memories are, seeing my wife walking down the aisle and listening to her vows.

What surprised you about your wedding day? The strong presence of God in our ceremony and the effect it had on our guests. We knew we wanted to have praise and worship but the feeling blew us away, like he was really present and we took that as God giving us the thumps up as union.

If you could describe the day with one word, what would it be?

Elegant

The Aftermath

So far marriage has been amazing! We've heard how hard the adjusting period can be when living with someone for the first time but it has been pretty smooth thus far.

What advice would you offer to other couples planning a wedding?

Savor every moment, Hire a Planner and don't sweat the little things, they don't matter at the end of the day.

How was your experience with Reem Photography? :)

Kareem was nothing short of amazing! We received our pictures and we were speechless, I wish I could post every photo.
